Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites
Ingredients:
1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 large egg, beaten
Oil for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
1 teaspoon lime juice
Directions:
Begin by preparing the Bang Bang sauce. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice. Mix well and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, place the beaten egg. In a third bowl, add the panko breadcrumbs.
Dip each piece of salmon first into the flour mixture, then into the egg, and finally coat it with the panko breadcrumbs, ensuring an even layer.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the salmon bites in batches, avoiding overcrowding the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
Once cooked, transfer the salmon bites to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm with the Bang Bang sauce for dipping.
