Beef and Cabbage Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
4 cups green cabbage, shredded
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
2. Add the sliced onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
3. Stir in the bell pepper and cabbage. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cabbage is tender.
4. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using. Stir to combine and cook for another 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
