Delicious Brown Gravy!
Ingredients:
4 cups beef stock
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Steps:
1. Melt the Butter: Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Cook the Cornstarch: Add cornstarch to the melted butter and sauté for a couple of minutes until it turns slightly brown.
3. Add the Flavor: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and beef stock.
4. Whisk and Thicken: Whisk constantly until the cornstarch blends smoothly into the beef stock. Continue whisking for 5-7 minutes until the gravy thickens to your desired consistency.
Season & Serve: Taste and season with black pepper if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

Ingredients:
10 pieces of chicken (drumsticks, thighs, or wings)
1 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp onion salt
1 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine your chicken pieces with the buttermilk. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for extra flavor and tenderness).
Prepare the Coating: In a separate large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, onion salt, celery salt, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. This blend of seasonings gives your chicken that perfect KFC-style flavor.
Coat the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and let the excess drip off. Dredge each piece thoroughly in the flour mixture, pressing gently to ensure it’s well-coated.
Fry the Chicken: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to about 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked.
Drain Excess Oil: Remove the fried chicken and place it on a wire rack over a baking sheet to drain any excess oil and keep the skin crispy.
