Chocolate Fudge Layered Cake π«π
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter π§
2 cups granulated sugar π¬
4 large eggs π₯
1 tsp vanilla extract πΌ
1 cup all-purpose flour π₯
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder π«
1/2 tsp salt π§
1 tsp baking powder β³
1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark) π«
1 cup heavy cream π₯
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped π«
Directions:
1. Letβs kick things off by preheating your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan so your cake doesnβt stick!
2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once itβs melted, remove it from heat and stir in the sugar until itβs beautifully combined.
3. Now, itβs time to add the eggs! Add them one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in that delightful vanilla extract!
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder β letβs get those dry ingredients ready.
5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into your wet mixture until just combined. Donβt forget to fold in those yummy chocolate chips!
6. Pour the luscious batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25β30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let it cool completely in the pan.
7. While the cake is cooling, letβs whip up the ganache. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just starts to simmer (be careful not to boil it!).
8. Pour that hot cream over the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit for 2β3 minutes, then stir it until itβs smooth and glossy.
9. Now, letβs assemble! Pour the ganache over the cooled brownie cake, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Let it sit at room temperature for a softer finish, or pop it in the fridge for a firmer texture.
10. Serve it up! Slice into squares or rectangles and enjoy. For an elegant touch, top each slice with whipped cream, fresh berries, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar!
Enjoy this irresistible treat!
