Caramel Apple Cheesecake Delight
Recipe: Ingredients:
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
3 cups cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
2 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
¼ cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 tbsp lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
For the cheesecake filling, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar together in a large bowl until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour the filling over the crust.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is just set and slightly jiggly. Let cool completely in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
For the caramel apple topping, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the apple slices and cook for 5-7 minutes, until they begin to soften. Stir in brown sugar, heavy cream, and lemon juice. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, until the caramel thickens. Let cool to room temperature.
Once the cheesecake is fully chilled, top it with the caramel apple mixture. Serve and enjoy!
