Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

1 1/2 cups M&M candies (or more for extra color)

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
