🥮 Pogne de Romans (Brioche Ring) ✨
A traditional brioche from Romans-sur-Isère, enriched with eggs and butter.
Ingredients:
• 500 g flour
• 100 g butter
• 3 eggs
• 20 g fresh yeast
• 100 g sugar
• 100 ml milk
• Pinch of salt
Instructions:
1️⃣ Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let rest 10 min.
2️⃣ Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
3️⃣ Add eggs and yeast mixture, knead until smooth.
4️⃣ Incorporate softened butter gradually.
5️⃣ Let dough rise 2 hours, covered.
6️⃣ Shape into a ring, place on tray, and rest another hour.
7️⃣ Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden.
