### Elegant Pink Rose Cake
#### Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Pink food coloring
- Edible decorations (pink ribbons, fondant roses)
#### Preparation Steps
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. In another bowl, cream together 1/2 cup butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
5. Divide batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely.
6. For frosting, beat 1 cup butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then heavy cream. Add pink food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
7. Spread a layer of frosting between the cooled cake layers, then frost the entire cake. Decorate with edible ribbons and fondant roses.
8. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
