Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour πΎ
1 cup granulated sugar π¬
1 tbsp cocoa powder π«
1 tsp baking soda π₯
1/2 tsp salt π§
1 large egg π₯
1 cup buttermilk π₯
1/2 cup vegetable oil π’οΈ

8 oz cream cheese, softened π°
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened π§
4 cups powdered sugar π

1-2 tbsp milk (optional) π₯
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cute cupcake liners. Let's get that atmosphere right!
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until thoroughly combined. You want that perfect mix!
3. In a larger bowl, beat together the egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla, red food coloring, and white vinegar. Slowly add your dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until itβs smooth and beautiful!
4. Fill your cupcake liners about 2/3 full with this vibrant batter. Theyβre going to rise beautifully!
5. Pop them in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let them cool in the tin for about 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
6. While those cupcakes cool, let's whip up the cream cheese frosting! Beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until itβs all smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until itβs light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla and mix well. If itβs a bit thick, feel free to add 1-2 tbsp of milk for that perfect consistency!
7. Once your cupcakes are completely cool, pipe or spread that delicious frosting on top. For a little extra flair, consider garnishing with edible rose petals, sprinkles, or a decorative rose!
