Decadent Fudge-Filled German Chocolate Poke Delight

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

1 box of German chocolate cake mix
1 1/3 cups water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs

For the Filling:

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chocolate fudge sauce (plus more for drizzling)

For the Topping:

1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
1/2 cup German chocolate bar shavings (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions using the water, oil, and eggs. Pour into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once out of the oven, immediately use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake, making sure to reach the bottom.

Slowly pour the sweetened condensed milk over the entire cake, allowing it to soak into the holes. Repeat with the chocolate fudge sauce, letting it settle into the cake as well. Let the cake cool completely.

Once cooled, spread the whipped topping evenly over the cake. Sprinkle the shredded coconut and chopped pecans across the top, then drizzle with additional fudge sauce and chocolate bar shavings for an extra indulgent touch.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to set.
