Strawberry Cream Puff Pastry Twists
Ingredients:
For the Pastry:
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
1 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)
For the Strawberry Cream Filling:
½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
2 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp cream cheese (softened)
¼ cup (60g) finely chopped fresh strawberries
½ tsp vanilla extract

Powdered sugar
Extra strawberry slices
Mint leaves

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Filling:
In a mixing bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form.
Add powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, and chopped strawberries. Mix until smooth and fluffy. Chill until ready to use.
2. Prepare the Twists:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roll out puff pastry and cut it into strips (about 1 inch wide and 6–8 inches long).
Lightly twist each strip and lay them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Let cool.
3. Fill and Decorate:
Once cooled, slice each twist open slightly (like a sandwich) and pipe or spoon in the strawberry cream.
Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with strawberry slices or mint leaves for a fresh look.
