Classic Italian Comfort with San Giorgio Lasagna Noodles

Ingredients:
12 San Giorgio Lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 ½ cups marinara sauce
2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the San Giorgio Lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, then season with salt, pepper, dried basil, and oregano. Stir in the marinara sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and ½ cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Add a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by half of the ricotta mixture and a portion of the meat sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of noodles and the remaining meat sauce.
Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Let the lasagna sit for 10 minutes before serving.
