Chocolate Pecan Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients:
Bottom Layer:
1 box (18 oz.) brownie mix
1 egg
Β½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Water (if needed)
Pecan Pie Filling:
3 eggs
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
ΒΌ cup salted butter, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups pecans, coarsely chopped
Top Layer:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3 eggs
1 Β½ teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
3 1/3 cups powdered sugar
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325Β°F and grease a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
For the bottom layer, mix brownie mix, Β½ cup melted butter, and 1 egg until thick. Add water if needed to blend well but keep thick. Spread evenly in the pan.
For the filling, blend 3 eggs, sugars, vanilla, melted butter, and corn syrup. Fold in pecans and spread over the bottom layer.
For the top layer, mix cream cheese, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla on low speed. Gradually add powdered sugar and spoon over the pecan filling.
Bake for 55-75 minutes until slightly jiggly in the center but firm to the touch. Tent with foil if browning too much. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
