Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken wings (drums and flats)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp baking powder (helps crisp the skin)
Honey Hot Sauce:
Β½ cup hot sauce (like Frankβs RedHot)
ΒΌ cup honey
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (optional)
Pinch of cayenne (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions:
Prep the wings:
Pat wings dry (key for crispiness). Toss with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and baking powder until evenly coated.
Bake:
Preheat oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange wings in a single layer.
Bake for 40β45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Make the sauce:
While wings bake, melt butter in a small saucepan. Stir in hot sauce, honey, vinegar, and cayenne. Simmer on low for 2β3 minutes.
Coat the wings:
When wings are done, toss them in the honey hot sauce while still hot. Let them soak up all that sticky heat.
Serve:
Plate up and enjoy with ranch, blue cheese, or just as they areβsweet, spicy, and finger-licking good.
