Easy Pecan Pie Dump Cake 🥧✨
All the cozy flavors of pecan pie with just 5 minutes of prep! No mixing bowls needed – just dump and bake.
You'll Need:
1 cup pecans (chopped) 🌰
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk 🥛
1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted 🧈
1 tsp vanilla extract 🌿
1 box yellow cake mix (15 oz) 🍰
½ cup (1 stick) cold butter, sliced thin ❄️🧈
1 cup water 💧
How to Make It:
1️⃣ Prep:
Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch pan.
2️⃣ Layer It Up:
Sprinkle pecans in the pan.
Dump in condensed milk, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla (no mixing!).
Shake dry cake mix evenly over the top (don’t stir!).
Dot with cold butter slices.
Gently pour water over everything (yes, just pour it on top!).
3️⃣ Bake:
Let it bake 50-60 mins until golden and bubbly at the edges.
4️⃣ Serve:
Let it sit 10 mins (it’ll thicken as it cools).
Scoop into bowls and add vanilla ice cream if you’re feeling fancy!
Tips:
✔ Shortcut: Use a store-bought pecan pie filling instead of the milk/syrup mix.
✔ Extra crunch? Toast pecans first in a dry pan for 3 mins.
✔ No corn syrup? Swap maple syrup or honey (taste will vary slightly).
Why it works: The cake mix magically soaks up the butter and water to form a crispy top, while the pecans sink into a gooey caramel layer underneath. Pure comfort! 😋
Pair with: Coffee for breakfast (we won’t judge). ☕️ #DessertHack
