AIR FRYER FRENCH FRIES
πŸ“ INGREDIENTS:
2–3 medium russet potatoes
1–2 tbsp olive oil (or spray oil)
Β½ tsp salt (plus more to taste)
Optional: garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, or your favorite seasoning blend
πŸ”ͺ INSTRUCTIONS:
1. PEEL & CUT THE POTATOES
Peel (optional) and cut into ΒΌ-inch sticks.
Try to keep the sizes uniform so they cook evenly.
2. SOAK THE FRIES
Soak the cut fries in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes.
This removes excess starch and helps them get crispier.
3. DRY THE FRIES THOROUGHLY
Drain and pat dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel.
The drier they are, the better they'll crisp up.
4. SEASON THE FRIES
Toss with olive oil and salt (plus any extra spices you like).
5. AIR FRY
Preheat air fryer to 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Place fries in the basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Check for desired crispnessβ€”add a few minutes if needed.
6. SERVE IMMEDIATELY
Sprinkle with extra salt or seasoning and serve hot with ketchup, aioli, or your favorite dip.
βœ… TIPS:
Don’t overcrowd the basket. Give fries room for airflow.
For extra crispiness, bump the temp to 400Β°F for the last 2–3 minutes.
