Baked Bacon Mac and Cheese with Beef Meatballs
Ingredients:
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Remove from heat and stir in the bread crumbs. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to create a roux. Slowly pour in the milk, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened. Add the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted. Season with salt and pepper. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, bacon, cheese sauce, and meatballs. Transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Serve hot and enjoy!
