Beef Tenderloin Crostini with Parmesan Cream Sauce

Ingredients:

1 French baguette, sliced into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 pound beef tenderloin, trimmed and cut into 1-inch slices
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

Prepare the crostini: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Set aside.
Cook the beef tenderloin: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef tenderloin slices with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme (if using). Sear the beef slices for about 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.
Make the Parmesan cream sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard, and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assemble the crostini: Place the toasted crostini on a serving platter. Top each slice with a piece of beef tenderloin. Drizzle with the creamy Parmesan sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve: Serve immediately while warm, and enjoy these irresistible Beef Tenderloin Crostini with Parmesan Cream Sauce as a delicious appetizer or finger food.
