Grilled Steak with Garlic Herb Compound Butter
Perfectly Grilled Steak with Homemade Garlic Herb Butter
Ingredients:
2 ribeye steaks
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Garlic Herb Compound Butter:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, rosemary, thyme, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated. Transfer the butter mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and roll it into a log shape. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
Preheat your grill to high heat. Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper, then rub with olive oil.
Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time to your preferred doneness.
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes. Slice the garlic herb compound butter into rounds and place a slice on each steak, allowing it to melt over the top before serving.
