Tender beef in a rich French onion-style sauce tossed with egg noodles and melty cheese β weeknight magic made easy!
π Ingredients (US Measuring Cups):
1 lb beef stew meat or thinly sliced beef
2 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion (thinly sliced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 (10.5 oz) can French onion soup
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
8 oz egg noodles (about 4 cups cooked)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt & black pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
π©βπ³ Directions:
Step 1: Sear the Beef
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season beef with salt and pepper, then sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Onions
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.
Add sliced onions and cook 6β8 minutes until golden and softened.
Stir in garlic and cook 1 more minute.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
Sprinkle flour over onions, stir and cook for 1 minute.
Pour in French onion soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.
Return beef to skillet and simmer for 10β15 minutes, or until beef is tender and sauce thickens.
Step 4: Add Noodles & Cheese
Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain and add to the skillet.
Stir to combine everything.
Sprinkle in mozzarella and parmesan. Stir gently until melted and creamy.
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy
Spoon into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm with crusty bread!
