Rustic Sausage & Parmesan Rigatoni ππ§
Ingredients:
12 oz rigatoni pasta
4 garlic sausage links, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 Β½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Β½ cup chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
First, bring a pot of water to a boil for the pasta. Salt it generously β think ocean water! β and cook that rigatoni just until itβs got a little bite to it. Drain it well and set it aside.
While the pastaβs working, warm your olive oil in a good-sized skillet over medium heat. Toss in those sliced sausage links and let them sizzle away until theyβre browned and handsome on all sides. Scoop βem out and set βem aside for a bit.
Now, into that same skillet, add your minced garlic. Let it sizzle for just a minute, until itβs fragrant and begging for company. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, give it a good stir, and let it come to a gentle simmer.
Time for the good stuff! Sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese, whisking it constantly as it melts into a gloriously smooth sauce. Taste it and adjust the salt and pepper until it sings to you.
Now, bring it all home! Add the pasta and the sausage to the skillet, tossing everything gently to coat it in that creamy goodness.
Finally, sprinkle over a shower of fresh parsley and serve it up family-style while itβs still piping hot and ready to warm your soul.
