Hawaiian Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Add the Sugars: Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar, mixing well until the sugars are fully incorporated into the wet ingredients.
Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. You can also add cinnamon if you like.
Combine Wet and Dry: Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter.
Add Hawaiian Ingredients: Gently fold in the crushed pineapple, shredded coconut, and chopped macadamia nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
Cool: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve: Slice and enjoy this tropical twist on banana bread with your favorite beverage!
