- 2-1/2 pounds chicken breasts, bone-in or boneless
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup French fried onions
- 1 cup shredded cheese (like Gruyรจre or mozzarella)
๐ Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
2. In a skillet, sautรฉ sliced onions until caramelized.
3. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme.
4. Place the chicken in a baking dish and pour the beef broth over it.
5. Top with caramelized onions and shredded cheese.
6. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
7. In the last 10 minutes, sprinkle French fried onions on top to add crunch before serving.
