🍫🔥 Hot Fudge Chocolate Cake
A self-saucing dessert that’s rich, indulgent, and incredibly easy to make.

🛒 Ingredients:
For the Cake:
• 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
• ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
• 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ cup (120ml) milk
• 2 tbsp melted butter (or vegetable oil)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Fudge Sauce:
• ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
• ¼ cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 ¼ cups (300ml) hot water

👩‍🍳 Instructions:
1 Preheat & Prepare Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8-inch (20cm) square baking dish.
2 Mix the Cake Batter In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth. Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
3 Make the Fudge Topping In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cocoa powder.Sprinkle this dry mixture evenly over the top of the cake batter — don’t stir!
4 Add the Hot Water Gently pour the hot water over everything. It will look strange and watery — that’s okay!Do not stir. This is what creates the rich fudge sauce as it bakes.
5 Bake Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top looks set and cakey. You’ll notice a gooey chocolate sauce bubbling underneath — that’s the magic!
6 Serve Warm Let cool for 5–10 minutes. Scoop into bowls, making sure to get both cake and sauce.Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the ultimate dessert.

🍨 Serving Tip:
This dessert is best served warm, straight from the oven. Leftovers can be reheated — but fresh is unbeatable.
