- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Black food coloring (gel or paste)
📝 Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, black cocoa powder, and unsweetened cocoa powder.
3. In another bowl, beat together the softened butter, vegetable oil, and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. Mix in the buttermilk, vanilla extract, and white vinegar.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
7. Add the black food coloring to achieve desired darkness.
8. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
