Creamy Garlic Butter Steak Tips with Egg Noodles

Ingredients:

1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small shallot, minced
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little kick!)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 (12 oz) package egg noodles
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
1 lemon wedge, for garnish

Directions:

1. First, cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. Season the steak cubes generously with salt and pepper.
3. Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add the steak cubes to the skillet in a single layer (work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding). Sear on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
5. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet.
6. Add the minced garlic and shallot to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
7. Pour in the beef broth, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
8. Add the dried thyme and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
9. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
10. Return the steak cubes to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
11. Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the steak and sauce.
12. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with a lemon wedge on the side.
