Root Beer Baked Beans 🍽️
A delicious twist on a classic side dish!
📋 Ingredients
- 2 cans of baked beans
- 1 cup root beer
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
📝 Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels.
3. In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion until soft.
4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the baked beans, root beer, barbecue sauce, mustard, and sautéed onions.
5. Stir in the bacon, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
7. Serve warm as a side dish at your next gathering.
