Juicy Skillet Steak with Peppercorn Cream Sauce 🥩🌶️
Ingredients:
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Peppercorn Cream Sauce:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup beef broth
2 tbsp green peppercorns, crushed
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp butter
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Add steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired doneness.
Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
In the same skillet, melt butter for the sauce, then add crushed peppercorns and sauté briefly.
Pour in beef broth, stirring to deglaze the pan, then add heavy cream and Dijon mustard.
Simmer the sauce until thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
Serve the steaks topped with the peppercorn cream sauce.
Notes:
Pair with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
