Seven-Layer Taco Salad
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can (15 oz) refried beans
1 cup sour cream
1 ½ cups guacamole
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup diced tomatoes
½ cup sliced black olives
¼ cup chopped green onions
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Jalapeño slices (optional for spice)
Directions:
1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning with a splash of water. Cook until thickened. Let cool.
2. In a clear bowl or trifle dish, spread the refried beans as the first layer.
3. Add the taco-seasoned ground beef as the second layer.
4. Spread sour cream evenly over the beef for the third layer.
5. Spoon guacamole on top as the fourth layer.
6. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously for the fifth layer.
7. Top with diced tomatoes, olives, green onions, cilantro, and jalapeño slices as the final layers.
8. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
