🇫🇷 Nougat de Montélimar (French White Nougat)
Chewy, nutty, and sweet—this traditional nougat is a festive French favorite!
📝 Ingredients:
• Sugar: 300 g
• Honey: 150 g
• Egg whites: 2
• Water: 50 ml
• Blanched almonds: 200 g
• Pistachios (optional): 50 g
• Edible wafer paper (optional): for lining
👩🍳 Instructions:
1️⃣ Toast nuts in oven at 160°C (320°F) for 10 min.
2️⃣ Boil sugar, honey, and water to 140°C (285°F).
3️⃣ Whip egg whites to stiff peaks, then slowly pour in hot syrup.
4️⃣ Stir in warm nuts and mix quickly.
5️⃣ Spread mixture into a lined pan. Let cool before cutting.
