Seared Scallops in Creamy Garlic Sauce 🧄🦪

Golden-crusted scallops swimming in rich, garlicky bliss!

📝 Ingredients:

1 lb sea scallops (8–10 pieces)

Salt & pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup chicken or seafood broth

1/4 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional)

2 tbsp chopped parsley or cilantro (for garnish)

Juice of 1/2 lemon

🍽️ Directions:

1️⃣ Prep the Scallops:

Pat scallops dry and season with salt and pepper. Make sure they're fully dry for a good sear.

2️⃣ Sear to Golden Perfection:

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

In the same skillet, lower heat and melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in broth, cream, paprika, and chili flakes. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

4️⃣ Return Scallops to Pan:

Add seared scallops back into the sauce and spoon the mixture over them. Simmer 1 minute just to heat through.

5️⃣ Finish & Serve:

Squeeze lemon juice over the top and sprinkle with chopped parsley or cilantro. Serve hot.
