Walnut Banana Caramel Cake 🍌🍰🍮
Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas (mashed)
1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter (softened)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
2️⃣ In a bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas, and mix until combined.
3️⃣ In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
4️⃣ Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
5️⃣ Let the cake cool, then drizzle with caramel sauce and top with extra walnuts before serving.
Notes:
For added indulgence, serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Toast the walnuts for a richer, nuttier flavor.
