- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onions until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
3. Stir in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
4. In a greased casserole dish, layer cooked macaroni, ground beef mixture, pickles, and shredded cheeses.
5. Repeat layers until ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
