🧅 Tarte à l’Oignon (Onion Tart) 🥧
A savory Alsatian tart made with caramelized onions and a rich custard filling.
Ingredients:
• 1 pie crust
• 3 onions (sliced)
• 3 eggs
• 150 ml cream
• 50 g butter
• Salt & pepper
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
2️⃣ Melt butter in a pan, then sauté onions until golden and soft.
3️⃣ Spread onions evenly over the pie crust.
4️⃣ Whisk eggs and cream, season, and pour over onions.
5️⃣ Bake for 35–40 minutes until set and lightly golden.
6️⃣ Serve warm or at room temperature.
