Ingredients:
β’ Mussels: 2 lbs (1 kg), cleaned
β’ Tomato sauce: 1 cup (240 ml)
β’ Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
β’ Olive oil: 3 tbsp (45 ml)
β’ White wine: Β½ cup (120 ml)
β’ Red pepper flakes: optional, for spice
β’ Fresh parsley: 2 tbsp (10 g), chopped
β’ Salt and pepper: to taste
Instructions:
1. Cook the garlic: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sautΓ©ing until fragrant.
2. Add the mussels: Stir in the mussels and white wine. Cover and cook for 5 minutes, or until the mussels open. Discard any unopened mussels.
3. Add the sauce: Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3-5 minutes to blend the flavors.
4. Garnish: Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
5. Serve: Plate the mussels with plenty of sauce and enjoy with crusty bread for dipping.
