Apple Crumble 😍🥧
Ingredients:
Crumble Topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Filling:
2 1/2 pounds Granny Smith apples (about 6–7 cups), peeled, cored, and diced
1/2 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar for extra depth)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch or all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or a deep 9-inch pie dish.
In a large bowl, combine diced apples, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch (or flour), salt, and cinnamon. Toss until the apples are well coated. Pour the apple mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon for the crumble topping.
Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture forms a crumbly texture.
Evenly sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apple filling.
Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling.
Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
