This was our front porch favorite—Mom brewed it strong and sweet, then added peaches from the tree out back. Sipped slow, it tasted like summer. 🍑🫖☀️
Ingredients:
🫖 6 black tea bags
🍬 3/4–1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
🍑 2 ripe peaches, sliced (fresh or frozen)
💧 8 cups water (divided)
🧊 Ice, for serving
🍋 Optional: lemon slices or mint for garnish
Instructions:
Boil the tea: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep tea bags for 5–7 minutes. Discard tea bags.
Sweeten it: Stir sugar into hot tea until dissolved.
Make peach syrup: In a small saucepan, simmer peach slices with 1 cup water for 10 minutes. Mash lightly, then strain to remove solids.
Combine: Pour peach syrup and tea into a pitcher. Add remaining cold water (about 3 cups) and stir.
Chill and serve: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve over ice with peach slices or lemon.
