Fluffy Oven-Baked Potatoes with Crispy Skins
**Ingredients:
* 4 large russet potatoes
* 2 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter)
* 1–2 tsp kosher salt
* Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, bacon bits, butter, etc.
**Directions
1. Preheat Oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Scrub Potatoes thoroughly to remove dirt. Pat completely dry with a towel.
3. Poke Holes: Use a fork to pierce each potato 4–6 times to allow steam to escape.
4. Oil and Salt: Rub potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle generously with kosher salt.
5. Bake: Place potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a wire rack over a baking sheet. Bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the skins are crisp and a knife easily pierces the center.
6. Serve: Slice open immediately for extra fluffiness. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
