Black Pepper Beef Udon
Ingredients:
1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 cup snap peas
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
2 packages (9 ounces each) udon noodles, cooked according to package instructions
2 green onions, chopped
Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
1. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for about 15 minutes.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the sliced onion and cook for 2 minutes until softened.
4. Add the minced garlic, bell pepper, and snap peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and sprinkle with black pepper. Stir to combine all ingredients.
6. Add the cooked udon noodles to the skillet and toss everything together for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
