Easy “Baking Substitutes” you can make at home!
——Buttermilk:
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Mix well and ready to use.
——Homemade Heavy Cream:
3/4 cup whole milk
1/4 cup butter
Steps:
Im a large bowl, add milk and butter. Using blender or hand mixer, blends it together until creamy.
———Homemade Sour Cream:
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar
Mix well and ready to use.
———Homemade Butter:
2 cups Heavy Cream
Pinch of salt
Steps:
Pour heavy cream into a food processor and blend about 10 minutes until the butter separates . Using a strainer or a cheese cloth, strain off the liquid and press the butter into a small container. Sprinkle with salt. Ready to use enjoy.
