Ingredients:

Brownies
- 1 box brownie mix (not prepared)
- 1 egg
- 5 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

French Silk Layer
- 8 ounces cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 ounces semi sweet chocolate
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (cubed)
- 8 ounces Cool Whip

Topping
- 8 ounces Cool Whip
- chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions using egg, melted butter, and milk.
2. Pour batter into a greased 9x9 inch baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
