Ingredients:
For the Steak:
1 boneless ribeye steak (or your preferred cut)
2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
1 tbsp butter (for finishing)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for garnish)
For the Roasted Potatoes:
4-5 baby potatoes, halved
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried rosemary
Salt and pepper (to taste)
For the Broccoli:
1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper (to taste)
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions:
Step 1: Roast the Potatoes:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss the halved potatoes in olive oil, garlic powder, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Spread the potatoes evenly on a baking sheet.
Roast the potatoes for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
Step 2: Prepare the Broccoli:
While the potatoes are roasting, heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the broccoli florets to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender and bright green.
Optional: If you like cheesy broccoli, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the broccoli during the last 2 minutes of cooking and let it melt.
Step 3: Cook the Steak:
Season both sides of the steak with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a cast-iron skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is achieved.
In the last minute of cooking, add a tablespoon of butter to the pan and spoon it over the steak for added flavor.
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain the juices.
Step 4: Serve:
Serve the juicy steak with the roasted potatoes and sautéed broccoli on the side.
