Surf and Turf with Creamy Garlic Sauce 🥩🍤🧄
Ingredients 🛒
For the Steak:
2 filet mignon steaks (or your preferred cut)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
For the Shrimp:
6 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp butter
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions 👩🍳
1️⃣ Prepare the Steak: Season the steaks with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
2️⃣ Prepare the Shrimp: In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4️⃣ Assemble: Place the steak on a plate, top with shrimp, and drizzle with the creamy garlic sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley.
