Seafood Spaghetti with Shrimp, Mussels & Clams
🐚 Serves 4 | Prep Time: 15 min | Cook Time: 20 min
Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 (14.5 oz) can crushed tomatoes
Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 mussels, cleaned and debearded
8 clams, scrubbed
1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)
Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
Cook the Pasta:
Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant (about 1 min).
Pour in white wine, scraping any bits from the bottom.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 min until slightly thickened.
Add the Seafood:
Add shrimp, mussels, and clams to the simmering sauce.
Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes, until shrimp are pink and mussels/clams have opened.
Discard any that stay closed.
Combine and Garnish:
Add spaghetti, cherry tomatoes, and parsley to the sauce. Toss to coat.
Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
Serve:
Plate on a white ceramic dish. Let some mussels and clams rest on top for presentation.
Sprinkle with more parsley and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
Serving Style
Set the plate on a light linen tablecloth, with soft daylight streaming in to catch the glisten of the tomato sauce, the pink of the shrimp, and the green of the parsley. Include a fork and knife to the side and a clear glass of water in the background for that lived-in dining vibe.
