Cookies and Cream Cupcakes
🧁 Ingredients
For the Cupcakes:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup hot water or hot coffee
10 Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed
For the Cookies and Cream Frosting:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3–4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
10 Oreo cookies, finely crushed (use a food processor for best results)
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Make the Cupcakes:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, mix oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
Mix in sour cream, then add dry ingredients gradually.
Stir in hot water or coffee until the batter is smooth.
Fold in the crushed Oreos.
Fill liners 2/3 full and bake for 18–20 minutes.
Let cool completely.
2. Make the Frosting:
Beat butter and cream cheese until creamy and smooth.
Add vanilla and gradually beat in powdered sugar.
Fold in finely crushed Oreos.
Pipe or spread generously onto cooled cupcakes.

Half an Oreo cookie on top
Extra crushed cookies
Mini Oreos for garnish
