📝 Ingredients:
2 large yellow onions
8 oz mozzarella cheese (block or string cheese), cut into strips
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
2 tbsp milk
1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt & black pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
For the Garlic Butter:
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

1. Prep the Onion Rings:
Slice onions into 1/2-inch thick rings and separate into pairs (one large, one slightly smaller).
Place a mozzarella strip between each pair to form a ring "sandwich." Freeze for 30 minutes to firm.
2. Set Up Dredging Station:
In one bowl: flour.
In a second bowl: whisk eggs and milk.
In a third bowl: mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Bread the Rings:
Dip each frozen stuffed ring into flour, then egg mixture, then breadcrumbs.
Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crispiness.
Place on tray and chill for 10 minutes (helps breading stick).
4. Fry to Golden Perfection:
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry rings in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 2–3 minutes per side).
Drain on paper towels.
5. Make Garlic Butter:
