Cheesecake Brownies Recipe
Ingredients:
*For the Brownie Layer:
•1/2 cup unsalted butter
•1 cup granulated sugar
•2 large eggs
•1 tsp. vanilla extract
•1/2 cup all-purpose flour
•1/3 cup cocoa powder
•1/4 tsp. salt
*For the Cheesecake Layer:
•8 oz. cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
•1/4 cup granulated sugar
•1 large egg
•1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
•Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease for easy removal.
•Step 2: Make the Brownie Batter - In microwave-safe bowl, melt butter. Stir in sugar until combined. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, & salt. Mix gently until just combined—do not overmix. Spread batter evenly prepared pan.
•Step 3: Make Cheesecake Layer-In separate mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese & sugar together until smooth & creamy. Beat in egg & vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
•Step 4: Assemble & Swirl - Dollop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture over brownie batter. Use knife or skewer to gently swirl 2 layers together, creating marbled effect. Be careful not to overmix—you want distinct swirls.
•Step 5: Bake in 30–35 minutes, or until edges are set & center is slightly jiggly. A toothpick inserted into center should come out mostly clean, with a few moist crumbs attached.
•Step 6: Let brownies cool completely in pan on a wire rack. For cleaner cuts, chill them in refrigerator for 1–2 hours before slicing. Cut into squares & serve at room temp. or chilled!
