Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce 🥩🍤✨
A rich and indulgent dish where tender, perfectly seared steak meets succulent shrimp in a creamy Cajun-spiced sauce!
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
4 small steak medallions (sirloin, filet mignon, or your choice)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
For the Shrimp:
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp butter
For the Creamy Cajun Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Steak:
Season steak medallions with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or until your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.
2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.
Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning and sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Stir in Cajun seasoning, then pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a gentle simmer.
Stir in Parmesan cheese and let the sauce thicken slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4️⃣ Assemble:
Return the steaks and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes to combine flavors.
5️⃣ Serve:
Plate the steak medallions, top with shrimp, and drizzle with extra sauce. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
