Shrimp Tortellini with Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
- 250 grams of tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 200 grams of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir everything together and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss gently to coat them in the creamy sauce.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
Notes:
- You can add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
- If you prefer, try using chicken instead of shrimp.
