🇫🇷 Vol-au-Vent (French Puff Pastry with Creamy Filling) 🥐❤️
Crispy, golden puff pastry filled with a rich, creamy mushroom and chicken sauce! A true French classic! ✨
Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry
200 g chicken breast, diced
150 g mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
200 ml heavy cream
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Cut puff pastry into small rounds and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15 min.
In a pan, cook diced chicken and mushrooms in butter.
Add flour, stir, then slowly pour in cream. Simmer until thick.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cut the top off each pastry and fill with the creamy mixture.
Garnish with parsley and serve warm!
